There is something deeply human about an unhoused person sleeping in a train car next to a wealthy businessperson in a suit. We have very few spaces in our world where folks from all walks of life are forced into close proximity like that. That alone is worth celebrating in our public transportation system, and it's something that I value when I ride the train! Nice piece as always, Kristen!
